Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Project Manager in San Diego to oversee community development and horizontal construction, coordinating with multiple departments and external consultants. The role emphasizes schedules, budgets, and quality control to deliver on-time, zero-defect homes.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in related fields, a strong background in civil engineering or planning, and proficiency with project management tools.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in community development, redevelopment, economic development, or civil engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Civil Engineering, Urban Design/ Planning, Real Estate, Business, or related field.
  • Advanced PC skills- MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain community and horizontal construction schedules, overseeing all construction activities and quality control.
  • Coordinate input from Division Executives on site and architectural design.
  • Supervise and coordinate with outside consultants for architecture, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and soils engineering.
  • Provide weekly written reports on progress, trade partner meetings, agency contacts, problem resolution, and safety meetings.
  • Create and maintain site budgets.
  • Negotiate contracts with outside consultants for services such as architecture, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and soils engineering.
  • Assist in preparing feasibility studies.
  • Coordinate DRE processing, CC&R’s, and set up HOAs, acting as a liaison and board member if needed.
  • Secure and manage the exoneration of necessary bonds.
  • Coordinate model complexes and conditional use permits.
  • Support the Operations Department during the construction process.

The Project Manager is responsible for supervising and directing all aspects of a community, including maintaining community schedules. This role involves coordinating with other department heads and outside consultants for architectural design and site planning. Dealing with horizonal construction side for the land development teams.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years in community development, redevelopment, economic development, or civil engineering experience.
  • Production Residential Home-building industry experience is highly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred in Civil Engineering, Urban Design/ Planning, Real Estate, Business, or related field.
  • Advanced PC skills- MS Office Suite.
  • Experienced with Project Management software.
  • Experience with Smartsheets.
  • Excellent analytical ability and strong writing skills.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Strong motivational, management, and organizational skills required.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate computer keyboard, calculator and telephone equipment.

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an annual salary of $78,122.44 - $142,341, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
