Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for its Program Management division to support our client’s project manager on multi-discipline, gas utility infrastructure programs. The role involves budgeting, scheduling, cost control, procurement coordination, and construction management across design and build phases.

The ideal candidate holds a civil/environmental/mechanical engineering degree, has 2+ years in related infrastructure projects, and can travel to Rochester area

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least two years of experience supporting natural gas/underground utility or civil infrastructure projects.
• CAPM certification from PMI or ability to obtain within nine months of hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites throughout Rochester, NY and surrounding area.
• Intermediate or higher knowledge level of Excel.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with cross-functional team to forecast project schedules, cashflows, material and resource needs.
• Manage large datasets related to project requirements.
• Track materials and procurement.
• Develop solutions to complex problems.
