Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Program Management division. The role is based at the client’s Orange, CT office with a hybrid work model.

You will support the Project Manager and a cross-disciplinary team on multiple natural gas utility infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has a Civil/Environmental/Mechanical engineering background, 2+ years of relevant experience, and PMI CAPM certification (or plan to obtain).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least two (2) years of experience supporting natural gas/underground utility or civil infrastructure projects.
• Certified Project Management Professional (CAPM) Certification from PMI or the ability to obtain within nine (9) months of hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to travel to project sites throughout Rochester, NY and surrounding area.
• Intermediate or higher knowledge level of Excel.
• SAP experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interaction and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Work with a cross-functional team to forecast project schedules, cashflows, material and resource needs.
• Manage a large data set associated with project requirements.
• Material tracking.
• Develop solutions to solve complex problems.
