Job summary

The Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support front-end project execution across multiple active projects. You will assist with pre-bid efforts, estimating support, bid submissions, contract administration, and day-to-day project tracking in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, proactive, and capable of coordinating between field crews and office teams, with strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Exposure to underground utilities or industrial projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-bid activities, review documents and bids.
• Support estimating by gathering quantities and vendor quotes.
• Set up and maintain project files and contract administration.
• Track schedules, milestones, and risks across multiple projects.
• Monitor budgets and cost tracking; review invoices and change orders.
• Coordinate field and office communication; liaison with teams.
• Participate in project meetings and site visits.
