Confident Search Consultants seeks an Assistant Project Manager for heavy civil highway and utility projects in Virginia. The role involves supporting project teams across Fredericksburg and statewide DOT work, with relocation assistance available.

You will drive submittals, RFIs, procurement, cost tracking, and schedule updates, coordinating with field crews, subcontractors, and VDOT inspectors. A path to PM ownership is emphasized.

Formación

• 3+ years on heavy civil, highway or utility projects as a Field Engineer, Project Engineer or APM.
• VDOT or other DOT project experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of scheduling and cost tracking.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsabilidades

• Drive submittals, RFIs and procurement so field crews stay ahead of the work.
• Coordinate subcontractors and supplier purchase orders.
• Track quantities, production and cost against budget.
• Prepare monthly pay applications and cost projections.
• Support schedule updates and change management.
• Work with VDOT inspectors and owner representatives.
• Keep project documentation clean and current.
• Take part in weekly schedule and cost reviews with the project team.
• Support a strong jobsite safety culture.
