ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for heavy civil highway and utility projects in Virginia, with relocation available. You’ll work with a senior PM on roadway, highway and utility work, much of it VDOT, across the state from Fredericksburg to Northern Virginia.

The role targets candidates with 3+ years on heavy civil projects, scheduling and cost-tracking knowledge, and a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background. Relocation assistance is available.

Competenze

• 3+ years on heavy civil, highway or utility projects as a Field Engineer, Project Engineer or APM.
• VDOT or other DOT project experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of scheduling and cost tracking.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field experience.

Mansioni

• Drive submittals, RFIs and procurement so field crews stay ahead of the work.
• Coordinate subcontractors and supplier purchase orders.
• Track quantities, production and cost against budget.
• Prepare monthly pay applications and cost projections.
• Support schedule updates and change management.
• Work with VDOT inspectors and owner representatives.
• Keep project documentation clean and current.
• Take part in weekly schedule and cost reviews with the project team.
• Support a strong jobsite safety culture.
