Job summary

Onyx Corporation seeks a Construction Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and delivering heavy civil and private construction projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will work with Superintendents, Foremen, fieldcrews, owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with excavation, site development, earthwork, drainage, and underground utilities, and can read civil

Qualifications

Three or more years of project-engineering, including direct heavy civil experience.
Knowledge of excavation, grading, site development, drainage, underground utilities.
Ability to read civil plans, profiles, details, specifications, contracts, and survey data.
Experience with quantity takeoffs, RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, cost tracking, docs.

Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager from contract award through closeout.
Review plans, specs, contracts, scopes of work, geotechnical data, and project requirements.
Prepare budgets, cost codes, buyout packages, POs, and subcontracts.
Prepare, track, and distribute RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, directives, and meeting minutes.
