Job summary

Centurion Selection, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for the Washington, DC region to join a growing commercial builder. This role offers exposure to high-profile projects, collaboration with a seasoned leadership team, and clear opportunities for advancement.

You will support daily management from preconstruction through completion, coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors, and help track schedules and budgets while maintaining project documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, schedules, and project documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with construction technology, scheduling, and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager with day-to-day management of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify potential issues and ensure project requirements are being met.
• Track project schedules, budgets, and milestones while helping maintain accountability across the project team.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and the field team to resolve issues and keep projects moving efficiently.
• Participate in project meetings, prepare meeting documentation, and follow up on outstanding action items.
• Assist with quality control, inspections, closeout activities, and maintaining organized project records.
