Job summary

Talley Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a Grading and Utilities Assistant Project Manager for Rossville, GA. The role involves reading civil and architectural plans, processing submittals, performing job costing and forecasting, and preparing schedules and invoices.

Qualified candidates will have 2–4 years in heavy civil construction, experience with DOT projects preferred, and an associates degree in Civil/Engineering/Construction Management preferred. Some travel and field work required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience in Heavy Civil Construction.
• Prefer 1-3 years working with sewer, storm water and water main projects.
• Associates Degree preferred (Civil, Engineering, or Construction Management).
• Experience in estimator bidding on DOT projects preferred.
• Project Management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Take-Off software (Agtek) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Estimating Software (HCSS Heavybid) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read plans (Civil and Architectural).
• Process submittals and shop drawings.
• Perform job costing and forecasting (short and long-term).
• Prepare construction time schedule (prefer experience in Microsoft Project).
• Prepare and submit monthly billings and invoicing.
• Process change orders.
• Process subcontractor billing and change orders.
• Order and track material shipments.
• Attend weekly meetings with owners, subs, vendors and Talley personnel.
• Liaison between jobsite superintendent and office staff.
• Be flexible in duties and have a 'get-it-done' attitude.
• Some travel may be required.
• This position will require work in the field.
