Job summary

Talley Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking an estimator with 2–4 years of heavy civil construction experience to support bid preparation and cost forecasting. The role involves reading civil and architectural plans, preparing takeoffs, and coordinating with owners, subcontractors and field staff.

Ideal candidates will have experience with DOT projects, take-off software (Agtek) and estimating software (HCSS Heavybid), and prefer a degree in civil engineering or construction management.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in heavy civil construction.
• Prefer 1–3 years working with sewer, storm water and water main projects.
• Experience in estimator bidding on D.O.T. projects preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.

• Prepare construction schedules (prefer experience with Microsoft Project).
• Prepare and submit monthly billings and invoicing.
• Process change orders and subcontractor billing.
• Order and track material shipments.
• Attend weekly meetings with owners, subcontractors, vendors and Talley personnel.
• Liaise between jobsite superintendent and office staff.
• Maintain a flexible, "get-it-done" attitude.
• Pass a post‑offer drug screen.
• Provide proof of eligibility to legally work in the U.S.
• Undergo E‑Verify processing as required.
• Travel may be required.
• Work on the field as required.

Experience

• Prefer 1–3 years working with sewer, storm water and water main projects.
• Associate’s degree in civil, engineering or construction management preferred.
• Experience in estimator bidding on D.O.T. projects preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.
