Job summary

Talley Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a Construction Estimator in the North Georgia/Chattanooga area to prepare detailed take-offs and full-service estimates for site development projects. You will analyze cost data, request subquotes, and review bid packages to support bid wins.

Experience with DOT work and utilities is preferred. Responsibilities include independent estimation of large projects, plan interpretation, and risk assessment, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience as Construction Estimator
• Estimating experience for large civil site development in both the residential and commercial market
• Estimating experience for roadway construction and working with DOT/Municipalities
• Estimating experience in underground utilities (Water, Sewer, Storm)
• Project Management experience preferred but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word required
• Proficiency using Take-Off software (Agtek Preferred)
• Proficiency using Estimating Software (HCSS Heavybid Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Detailed Quantity Take-off and Summary for site work including grading, storm drain, utilities and various other civil scopes
• Prepare full-service cost estimate for various site construction projects including gathering and analyzing in-house and historical cost data
• Solicitation for material and sub quotes
• Bid Package review (specifications, plans, CAD files, geotechnical report, etc)
• Analyze construction risk through site visits, plan interpreting and scope understanding
• Independently estimates a large sized project.
