Job summary

Findorff is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support construction of large residential and parking projects. You will work from preconstruction through closeout, advancing technical knowledge and taking on greater responsibility across project management, field coordination, and financial performance.

You will collaborate with project teams, clients, architects, and trade partners, while assisting with RFIs, submittals, change orders, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement, all while

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in construction PM, field engineering, or estimating in commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, building systems, and project sequencing.
• Experience supporting project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and change management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organization and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams and build client relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook with exposure to CMiC, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Execution: manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and document control.
• Contribute to Planning & Scheduling: partner with Superintendents and Project Managers to develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and support short-term planning efforts.
• Drive Procurement & Contracts: support bidding, subcontract preparation, and procurement, while helping manage contract compliance, insurance requirements, and issue resolution.
• Manage Project Financials: assist with budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and monthly reporting while supporting pay applications and change management processes.
• Collaborate in the Field: work closely with field teams to support material coordination, document updates, safety initiatives, and quality control processes.
• Build Relationships & Lead: develop strong working relationships with project teams, clients, architects, and trade partners while continuing to grow leadership and communication skills.
