Job summary

Findorff is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support and lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You’ll collaborate with project teams, manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, and procurement while helping control budgets and quality.

You’ll grow technical knowledge, assume increasing responsibility with field coordination, and strengthen client and partner relationships in a locally focused, employee-owned company known for culture and long-term client

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in construction project management, field engineering, or estimating within commercial construction.
• Strong working knowledge of construction processes, building systems, and project sequencing.
• Experience supporting project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and change management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Execution: Assist in managing day-to-day project activities including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and document control to keep projects aligned with plans and specifications.
• Contribute to Planning & Scheduling: Partner with Superintendents and Project Managers to develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and support short-term planning efforts.
• Drive Procurement & Contracts: Support bidding, subcontract preparation, and procurement efforts while helping manage contract compliance, insurance requirements, and issue resolution.
• Manage Project Financials: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and monthly reporting while supporting pay applications and change management processes.
• Collaborate in the Field: Work closely with field teams to support material coordination, document updates, safety initiatives, and quality control processes.
• Build Relationships & Lead: Develop strong working relationships with project teams, clients, architects, and trade partners while continuing to grow your leadership and communication skills.
