Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager and PMO, handling project data, reporting, and coordination from bid through close-out. Strong communication and detail orientation are essential for success on our EPC projects in the power sector.

You will learn our business processes, engage with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, and help manage budgets, schedules, and change orders while maintaining a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in construction science, project management, construction management, construction engineering, engineering, or similar related degree or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint).
• Knowledge of project management, project controls, estimating, construction, finance, and contract management.
• Entry level understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, and activities.
• Familiar with Primavera P6, JD Edwards, QuickBase, and B2W platforms.

Responsibilities

• Set up, organize, update, and maintain project files using Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, Primavera P6, JD Edwards, B2W, and others.
• Maintain a professional appearance and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Identify problems, collect information, and establish facts to resolve issues.
• Support pre-construction efforts in bid preparation, contract review, and execution planning.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Schedule and manage subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers.
• Monitor and support construction to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Review cost reports and identify methods to reduce costs while preserving productivity.
• Manage budget projections for labor, materials, equipment, and subs.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly projections and progress reports for construction activities.
• Forecast project costs and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Oversee invoicing and payment applications and monitor weekly hours and material reporting.
• Drive productivity, efficient use of materials, and contract performance.
• Lead daily/weekly/monthly meetings and prepare agendas/minutes.
