Job summary

Cook & Boardman, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial construction projects in coordinating materials, schedules, subcontractors, and documentation to meet deadlines and customer expectations.

You will act as a liaison among internal teams, vendors, installers, and customers in doors/hardware and electronic security integration, with emphasis on accuracy, communication, and timely project closeout.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong Excel, Outlook and Word skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication for coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers in material procurement and order tracking aligned with timelines.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal procurement for timely, accurate orders.
• Assist in managing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout packages.
• Monitor subcontractor schedules and compliance with project scopes.
• Communicate with general contractors, customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Prepare and submit project closeout documentation including warranties and as-builts.
