Job summary

MSS Fire and Security, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Fire and Security to drive project objectives from planning through completion. You will organize teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver secure, compliant installations.

The role requires strong communication, in-depth knowledge of fire and security systems, and proficiency with scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in project management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project and facilities management (high school diploma with equivalent experience acceptable).
• Ability to prepare and maintain project schedules using scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera or similar).
• Must pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Chart project objectives and plans, set performance requirements, and select project participants.
• Coordinate resources to ensure cost-effective procurement of labor, materials, and equipment.
• Oversee construction from start to finish and monitor progress.
• Develop communications and conflict-resolution mechanisms among participants.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and minimize risk.
• Ensure work moves according to the schedule and revise plans as needed.
• Lead teams, assign responsibilities, and coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors.
• Maintain documents, monitor safety, quality, and compliance with budget.
