Job summary

Bancroft Construction Co. in Wilmington, DE is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents.

You will develop schedules, manage procurement, and maintain documentation while building strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. The role emphasizes cost control, timely communications, and adherence to Bancroft’s safety and quality plans.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from project sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Project Management software including MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word.
• Procore Manager or Procore Converge knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Fundamental experience using databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships and ensure collaboration with owners, decision makers, influencers, architects, engineers, and other external customers.
• Create and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors; treat them fairly and professionally.
• Monitor project costs to ensure the project stays within budget and contingencies.
• Assist in communicating accurate project schedule information to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor and maintain the procurement schedule and update the schedule weekly.
• Manage submittal registry, submittal/shop drawings, RFIs, procurement tracking, and drawing logs.
• Adhere to Bancroft’s risk management and safety policies and promote compliance.
• Ensure comprehensive punch lists are created, communicated, and completed.
• Manage the closeout process.
