Job summary

Jobot in Elmhurst, IL seeks an APM to own financial tracking, drive buyouts, and start managing parts of projects beyond support. You’ll report to a PM and work closely with stakeholders to keep costs in line and ensure timely change orders.

The role offers a path toward PM ownership in a well‑established Chicagoland environment. Ideal candidates have 4–7 years GC/CM experience, strong cost control skills, and familiarity with Procore/Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in CM, Civil, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Typically 4–7 years of GC/CM experience.
• Procore/Bluebeam experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support PM with budget tracking, cost reports, forecasting, and buyout.
• Draft and manage change orders from pricing through approval.
• Coordinate subcontractors on scope clarifications and compliance.
• Lead portions of OAC and subcontractor meetings.
• Review pay apps and track project financials.
• Oversee closeout items and turnover documentation.

What You’ll Do

• Support PM with budget tracking, cost reports, forecasting, and buyout
• Draft and manage change orders from pricing through approval
• Coordinate subcontractors on scope clarifications and compliance
• Lead portions of OAC and subcontractor meetings
• Review pay apps, code invoices, and track project financials
• Oversee closeout items, including punch, O&Ms, and turnover docs

What We’re Looking For

• Typically 4–7 years with a GC/CM (PE → Sr. PE background ideal)
• Comfortable managing cost, schedule, and documentation
• Procore/Bluebeam experience preferred
• Bachelor’s in CM, Civil, or related (or equivalent experience)
