Job summary

Jobot in Utah seeks a Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to deliver large-scale infrastructure projects across transportation, industrial, and energy sectors. The role combines field exposure with project management, including preconstruction, RFIs, submittals, and cost tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• 3–5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction or related infrastructure.
• Experience on DOT, transportation, utilities, water, mining, or site development projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project controls, and field operations.
• Experience with design-build projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project execution from preconstruction through closeout on heavy civil projects
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Track quantities, production, and costs to ensure alignment with budgets and schedules
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, including scope, performance, and cost tracking
• Participate in project meetings with owners, engineers, and internal stakeholders
• Assist with scheduling, procurement, and project controls

Job Details

This is not a small‑project environment- you’ll be involved in high‑impact infrastructure work that requires coordination, planning, and execution at scale. Advancement is based on performance and contribution, not tenure.

You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of projects, including:

• DOT highway and bridge construction

Work alongside teams that self‑perform critical scopes, providing deeper exposure to:
