Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to support large-scale infrastructure projects in Utah. This role offers hands-on field exposure and robust project management responsibilities on DOT, highway, and site development work.

Ideal candidates have 3-5+ years in heavy civil construction, a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background, and experience with design-build delivery. Medical, PTO, and vehicle support are among the offered benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction or related infrastructure projects.
• Experience working on DOT, transportation, utilities, water, mining, or site development projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project controls, and field operations.
• Experience with design-build projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project execution from preconstruction through closeout on heavy civil projects.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Track quantities, production, and costs to ensure alignment with project budgets and schedules.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, including scope, performance, and cost tracking.
• Participate in project meetings with owners, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with scheduling, procurement, and project controls.

Job Details

This is not a small-project environment- you’ll be involved in high-impact infrastructure work that requires coordination, planning, and execution at scale. Advancement is based on performance and contribution, not tenure.

You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of projects, including:

• DOT highway and bridge construction
• Design-build and progressive design-build delivery
• Industrial, mining, and energy infrastructure
• Large-scale civil site development

Work alongside teams that self-perform critical scopes, providing deeper exposure to:
