Job summary

RRC Companies is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to help advance energy projects in the U.S. and Canada, with opportunities to work remotely or from any official office location.

The role supports project managers, coordinates schedules, manages budgets, and ensures compliance with regulations and standards. You will collaborate across disciplines, prepare cost estimates, conduct risk assessments, and facilitate kickoff and progress meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating projects across multiple disciplines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the project manager to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications and accuracy.
  • Understands and follows project contracts.
  • Creates and updates project schedules in MS Project or other scheduling software.
  • Identifies and manages budget and scope creep.
  • Sets up and manages internal and external kickoff, and interval meetings.
  • Ensures adequate communication across disciplines.
  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
  • Conducts cost analysis; estimates expected costs for the project.
  • Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
  • Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management.
  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
