RRC is seeking a talented Relay Settings Engineer to help build the future of energy production across the U.S. and Canada.

The role supports protection and control engineering for transmission, distribution, substations, and renewable facilities, with remote work and multiple office locations. You will perform coordination studies, fault analysis, and protection scheme reviews, using ETAP, ASPEN, SKM, CAPE, or similar tools, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical or Renewable Energy Engineering.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • PE license in US or ability to obtain.
  • 5+ years of relay settings or protection and control experience.
  • Knowledge of IEEE and NERC standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and calculate protective relay settings for transmission, distribution, substations, and renewable energy facilities.
  • Perform relay coordination studies, short circuit studies, and fault analysis.
  • Review protection schemes, one-line diagrams, and relay logic diagrams for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with utilities, project managers, and field personnel during project execution.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and energization activities for substations and equipment.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specs.
