Job summary

Axis Talent Group is partnering with a Reston-based commercial general contractor to hire an Assistant Project Manager or an early-career Project Manager for its Reston office. The role supports preconstruction through closeout on ground-up, retail, corporate interiors, and renovations projects.

You’ll learn from a partner with extensive Washington DC market experience, focusing on project planning, cost control, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships. Procore experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Commercial construction experience with a general contractor.
• Experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or early-career PM.
• Ability to read drawings, stay organized, and follow through.
• Interest in taking greater ownership of project delivery.
• Procore experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help coordinate projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and subcontractor communication.
• Support estimating, subcontractor buyout, budgets, schedules, and change orders.
• Work closely with project managers, superintendents, owners, and trade partners.

Axis Talent Group is partnering with a commercial general contractor to hire an Assistant Project Manager or early-career Project Manager for its Reston office. The company’s work includes ground-up commercial construction, retail, corporate interiors, and renovations.

Who You’ll Learn From

One of the company’s partners previously served as Director of Construction Projects at James G. Davis and brings experience delivering prominent projects across the Washington, DC market. Now in his second year leading the business, he offers an experienced perspective for an APM looking to strengthen their skills in project planning, financial management, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships.

What You’ll Do
