Job description

NYC Developer seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support major commercial to residential conversion projects.

Seeking candidate with 3-5+ years of Project Management related experience in relevant GC, CM, Owner Rep or Developer, environment. Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering or related disciple required. Experience/exposure to complex, new construction or major renovation projects executed in New York City preferred. Must demonstrate strong communication skills, ability to coordinate and work with range of personnel from field to executive level. Strong organization, commitment and high degree of accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Manager by providing oversight of contractors’ work, workers, production, and quality.
  • Coordinate field personnel on projects requiring such involvement, as directed by the Project Manager and VP of Construction.
  • Understand and track reporting metrics including budget and schedule.
  • Communicate with other internal departments including Operations, Leasing, and Acquisitions during various phases of construction.
  • Resolve any ad hoc construction related issues based on standard industry practice
  • Additional duties and responsibilities assigned on as needed basis.
