HDR is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with experience in client development and delivery of large, complex projects. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in successfully delivering projects in Healthcare, Civic, Sports, Transportation, Aerospace, and/or Commercial Real Estate sectors, from planning and pre-design to construction support and commissioning. In addition to managing and delivering projects, the successful candidate must possess drive, experience, and charisma to develop and secure work from a global client base and enhance HDR’s reputation in these markets. The individual will manage multidisciplinary design teams from project conception to completion, requiring strong organizational skills and follow-through. The role involves working closely with Regional Building Engineering Services Business Group Managers and our global client management team, with some travel to client sites or HDR offices.

In the role of Project Manager Engineering Assistant, responsibilities include:

  1. Coordinating work of multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle under supervision of a Project Manager.
  2. Managing aspects of small projects or parts of larger projects.
  3. Ensuring workload is coordinated and deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  4. Collaborating with the Project Manager, Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for project reviews.
  5. Performing additional duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preference for local candidates.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of related experience in site programming, project planning, design, construction, or commissioning.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • PMP certification.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360 Docs, BIM360 Field, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with MS Office and MS Project; Access experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams of Architects, Engineers, and Designers.
  • Availability to travel locally (~50%) and regionally (<10%).
  • Preference for candidates with PE or Architecture licensure and the ability to become proficient in Revit.
  • Experience in Healthcare, Data Center, Science & Technology, or Mission Critical facilities.
