HDR is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Building Engineering Services Group in Charlotte, NC. You will support the delivery of facilities design projects for datacenters, offices and tenant upfits, from planning through commissioning.
The role requires coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, managing scope, schedule and budget, and developing new work from HDR’s global client base. A bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience are required; PMP or PE is a plus.

HDR is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Building Engineering Services Group in our Charlotte, NC office.
The Assistant Project Manager must have experience that focuses on client development and delivery of projects including facilities design for datacenters, office, manufacturing, and tenant upfit for a wide variety of clients. The ideal candidate should have a proven background in successfully supporting the delivery of various projects with scope ranging from upfront planning and pre-design activities through detail design, construction support and commissioning.
This position is an opportunity to join one of the largest, fastest growing, and comprehensive engineering and design practices in the industry. In addition to management and delivery of projects (which is the primary focus of this role), the successful candidate must possess the drive, experience and charisma needed to develop and secure work from a robust global client base and expand upon HDR’s reputation within these markets. This individual will manage multi-disciplinary design teams from project conception to completion. Keen focus on organizational skills and follow-through are required to be successful in this role. They will work closely with local Project Managers as well as our global client management team. Some travel to client sites or other HDR offices is required.
