We are seeking an organised and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the successful planning and delivery of a range of projects. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team, you will help ensure that projects are delivered to the required standards, within agreed timescales and in line with budgetary expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their project management career in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with project planning, scheduling and resource coordination; maintaining project plans, action logs, risk registers and other key documentation; and preparing progress updates, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. You will monitor project milestones, costs and deliverables, highlighting potential issues and supporting the development of practical solutions. You will also help organise meetings, record decisions and actions, track follow-up activity, and support communication between project teams, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders. Where required, you may assist with procurement, quality checks, change control and the coordination of project handovers.
Applicants should have experience supporting projects or working in a project coordination, administration or delivery environment. You will need strong organisational and time-management skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with confidence using Microsoft Office applications and project management systems. Experience with project planning tools, risk management, budget monitoring or working within structured project methodologies would be advantageous. We are looking for a proactive team player who can build effective working relationships, take ownership of tasks and remain calm under pressure. A relevant qualification in project management, business or a related discipline is desirable, although equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
