W.E. O’Neil Construction in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer intern to support the project team with administrative and engineering tasks on a construction project.
The role focuses on setting up CMiC, PlanGrid, logs, and meeting minutes, with learning opportunities to advance into a Project Engineer role. Compensation is $24.00–$30.00 per hour, with a California location and on-site work.
The primary function of the Assistant Project Engineer is to assist the project team with some of the administrative and engineering functions associated with a particular construction project.
Reports to the Project Manager or other assigned supervisors(s)
Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to use construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction, when visiting a WEO job site. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear and stand throughout the workday.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in one of WEO’s California regional offices and on occasion may be required to visit the construction work site where the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
