Job summary

Cooper Steel’s Nashville office seeks an Assistant Project Coordinator to support Project Managers with drawings, schedules, and document control. This in-office role emphasizes communication, organization, and on-time, cost-conscious project execution.

You will master project systems such as Sage 300, Quickbase, and Raken, collaborate with on-site teams and subcontractors, and help keep tasks on track while contributing to a strong team culture.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Fluent and comfortable with Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication-driven with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional time management, able to multitask, maintain organization, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • A self-starter with a drive to give every task maximum effort.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with drawings, job schedule updates, reaffirming that the necessary steps for the job are completed, and communicating consistently with subcontractors.
  • Build a baseline understanding of the project management department and its interactions with the on-site team and other internal departments.
  • Master and navigate project-related systems, including Sage 300, Quickbase, and Raken.

The Assistant Project Coordinator is a vital, detail-centric part of the Project Management team at Cooper Steel. This in-office role is responsible for partnering with Project Managers to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects by assisting with communication, document control, and company processes through all stages of the project.
