Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability is seeking an energetic Assistant Supervisor to help oversee the Stratton Program in New Rochelle. You will supervise 5–15 staff, train and mentor, ensure program quality, and maintain NYS regulatory compliance.

The role involves working with people of all ages who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, participating in interdisciplinary teamwork, and advocating for individuals we support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Prior Direct Support Professional experience preferred.
• Background in supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety, and habilitation of people we support per agency standards.
• Provide appropriate supervision level in residence, day program, or community.
• Provide program/floor coverage and promote program excellence.
