Job summary

CareLink Community Support Services in Norristown, PA is seeking an Assistant Program Supervisor to lead a residential program, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality services. This role offers hands-on leadership responsibilities and opportunities to advance within a mission-driven organization.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and 1–2 years of related experience, with preferred background in behavioral health or residential services.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership to Residential Counselors and residential staff.
• Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure shift coverage.
• Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and evaluations.
• Monitor operations and ensure policy compliance.
• Review documentation for accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate referrals, admissions, and orientation.
• Assist with service plans and treatment interventions.
• Support residents in recovery, wellness, and independent living goals.
• Respond to emergencies and seek clinical support when needed.
• Coordinate services with external providers and families.
• Monitor medication administration and report concerns.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and agency events.
• Assist with payroll processing and site operations.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide coverage.
• Transport participants as required.

As an Assistant Program Supervisor, you'll provide leadership, guidance, and operational support for a residential program while helping individuals achieve their personal goals and enhancing the quality of care provided by your team.

Location: STAR 1 - Norristown, PA

Pay: $20.60/hour

Position Overview

The Assistant Program Supervisor supports the Program Supervisor by overseeing residential operations, supervising staff, ensuring quality services, and helping maintain a safe, supportive environment for both residents and employees. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced human services professional who is ready to take the next step into leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and support to Residential Counselors and residential staff.
• Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure shift coverage.
• Assist with staff onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor program operations and ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Coordinate referrals, admissions, consumer orientation, and appointments.
• Assist with developing and implementing service plans and treatment interventions.
• Support individuals in achieving recovery, wellness, and independent living goals.
• Respond to emergencies, provide crisis intervention, and seek clinical support when needed.
• Coordinate services with external providers, agencies, families, and community resources.
• Monitor medication administration and report concerns appropriately.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and agency events.
• Assist with payroll processing, site operations, and other administrative duties.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and provide direct coverage when needed.
• Transport participants as required.
