Job summary

LISC Virginia is seeking a program professional to lead the Financial Opportunity Centers network across Virginia. You will coordinate workforce development partners, design workshops, and manage grants to advance economic mobility.

You will build capacity with community partners, report outcomes, and travel statewide to support engagement, training, conferences, and LISC activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage LISC Virginia’s network of Financial Opportunity Centers and related partners across Virginia.
• Provide strategic guidance, technical assistance, project management, and capacity-building support.
• Cultivate partnerships with government agencies, nonprofits, financial institutions, and funders.
• Plan and deliver workshops, conferences, and peer-learning opportunities.
• Oversee grants management, reimbursement, compliance, reporting, and deliverables.
• Develop programs, monitor impact, and report outcomes with dashboards and reports.
• Travel throughout Virginia and occasionally outside the Commonwealth for engagement.

Job description

• • Manage LISC Virginia’s network of Financial Opportunity Centers and related financial stability partners across Virginia
• • Provide strategic guidance, technical assistance, project management, training, networking opportunities, and capacity-building support
• • Steward relationships with workforce development, economic mobility, housing, and community development partners
• • Plan and implement workshops, peer learning opportunities, conferences, and technical assistance offerings
• • Support federal, state, and philanthropic grant‑funded initiatives, including grants management, reimbursement processes, compliance monitoring, reporting, and deliverables
• • Strengthen program design, implementation, organizational capacity, and impact measurement with community‑based organizations
• • Manage development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of community development, housing, and economic opportunity programs
• • Cultivate partnerships with government agencies, nonprofits, financial institutions, corporate partners, and philanthropic funders
• • Represent LISC Virginia in statewide and regional coalitions and stakeholder groups
• • Develop grant proposals, secure funding, report program outcomes, and maintain funder relationships
• • Collect, analyze, and manage program data; develop reports, grant applications, dashboards, and other impact materials
• • Coordinate with LISC National teams on program alignment, resource sharing, and national initiatives
• • Support cross-functional priorities and special projects
• • Travel throughout Virginia and periodically outside the Commonwealth for partner engagement, training, conferences, and LISC activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Urban Studies, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• 2–4 years of experience in community development, program coordination, or administrative support
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital file management systems
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners and stakeholders
• Commitment to LISC’s mission of advancing equitable community development
