Job summary

Believe In Me Empowerment in New Haven, CT is seeking an Assistant Program Director to support our Transitional Housing program. You will assist the Program Director with oversight, supervise staff, and help manage casework and day-to-day operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years in management with staff supervision, willingness to work evenings/weekends, and a valid CT driver's license. You’ll engage with offenders and partner agencies to promote client independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 3 years in management and 1 year supervision.
• Experience with case management, substance abuse, and community resources.
• Experience working with offenders in community/residential programs.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to engage diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor subordinates and maintain staff schedules.
• Oversee daily program activities and on-call duties.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings weekly.
• Assist with interviewing, recruitment, training, and staff evaluation.
• Review client files and support case management functions.
