Job summary

Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities seeks an MHA3 to develop and manage programmatic systems for input into ISP and active treatment services at the Tiffin Developmental Center. Qualifications

• 24 mos. exp. in development & implementation of treatment/habilitation plans for individuals who are mentally ill or developmentally disabled and part of an inter-disciplinary team.
• 12 mos. exp. as lead worker providing work direction & training for other employees.
• 12 mos. or more in state &/or federal regulations & standards governing care, custody & programming of residents in mental health or developmental centers.
• 6 mos. exp. in writing or assisting in development of policies, procedures, goals & objectives of unit or program.
• 3 mos. exp. in budgeting or scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage; 1 course in manpower planning or 3 mos. exp.

Responsibilities

• Develops & manages programmatic systems for input into ISP, development & active treatment services offered by the Center.
• Conducts internal audits & monitors staff for compliance with regulations; reviews staffing policies & recommends changes.
• Provide hands-on support to staff by modeling active treatment strategies, delivering training, and coaching including trauma-informed care and approved behavioral interventions.
• Provide corrective feedback or disciplinary action as needed, in alignment with policies and labor agreements.
• Participates in planning meetings.
• Oversight of the programmatic components of the Electronic Health Record to ensure accurate documentation and regulatory alignment.
• Ensures implementation of prevention plans.
