Job summary

Kennedy-Donovan Center (KDC) is seeking an Assistant Program Director to lead and support our Community Developmental Services (CDS) programs. You will work closely with program leadership to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure quality, compliance, and person-centered supports.

This role emphasizes building strong teams, mentoring staff, coordinating scheduling, and improving workflows across Family Support and Individual Support programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field OR 5 years’ experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• 3–5 years of administrative or supervisory experience in human services.
• Proven leadership, program development, and staff management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities; problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of CDS programs, ensuring compliance with licensing and certification requirements.
• Partner with the Director and Senior Director to support recruitment, onboarding, training, supervision, coaching, and performance management.
• Lead and participate in staff and team meetings, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Support scheduling, coverage planning, referrals, admissions, billing, reporting, and other admin processes.
• Collaborate with program leadership and external partners to improve workflows and program efficiency.
• Provide on-call coverage and support programs during non-standard hours.
