Wayne State University is searching for an experienced AssistantProfessor (Teaching) - Psychology at its Detroit campuslocation.

Essential functions (job duties):

The Department of Psychology invites applications for a full-time(9 months) Assistant Professor (Teaching) position(non-tenure-track). We seek an active and engaged colleague withdemonstrated professional and teaching interests within Psychology.Preferred candidates should be able to teach several of ourundergraduate core major courses, which include Introduction toPsychology, Statistics, Research Methods, Learning and Memory,Perception, Cognition, Developmental Psychology, and HealthPsychology. Course format is primarily in-person, but may alsoinclude hybrid, or online delivery. Teaching load is 3:3 (fall andwinter semesters) Candidates are also expected to participate indepartment committees and activities.

Teach in-person, hybrid and/or online courses in the Psychologyundergraduate program. Courses could include Introduction toPsychology, Statistics, Research Methods, Learning and Memory,Perception, Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology orHealth Psychology.

Assist program faculty and staff with student recruitment andretention initiatives, program assessment and other duties requiredto meet organizational needs.

Serve on departmental committees.

Qualifications:

Candidates with a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field arepreferred. However, those who are ABD or hold a Master's degree andhave considerable professional experience may be considered.
