Job summary

CT State Community College seeks an Assistant Professor, Program Coordinator to teach and coordinate the designated program in Norwalk, CT. The role includes developing syllabi, mentoring students, and collaborating with faculty, staff, and community partners.

The position is full-time, 10-month, on-site at CT State Norwalk with Spring 2027 start and priority review for applications by Sept 2, 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health or related field.
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant by NCCA, ANSI, or ISO.
• Two years college teaching experience (48+ credits).
• Two years professional experience in medical assisting.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Teach thirty (30) credit hours per academic year across assigned discipline in lecture, hybrid, and/or online formats.
• Respond to and work with students, peers, and external partners.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and reading lists.
• Assist with program reviews and accreditation activities.
• Plan and execute program-related events; participate in workshops and conferences.
