Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager in Hemet, CA to lead one of the store’s busiest teams and guide customers toward healthy choices. You’ll partner with the Produce Manager on ordering, inventory control, and maintaining freshness while upholding safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes hiring, teaching, and developing the Produce team, with daily deliveries and equipment operation involved. Strong communication and flexible scheduling are key.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with basic math knowledge and weights/measures.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and ability to engage customers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow safety and health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Order, inventory control, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards through receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage and rotation.
• Lead a team to deliver high quality products and outstanding customer experience.
• Hire, train and develop the Produce team; unload deliveries and operate equipment.
