Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain sanitation in the department.
• Able to adhere to safety, health, weights and measures regulations including COOL and obtain a Food Handlers permit.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, climb and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
• Able to use a pallet jack to move pallets a distance up to 20 feet.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Order and inventory controls, ensure product quality, supervise the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards through proper receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, displaying and rotation.
• Lead a team that brainstorms to deliver high-quality products and superior service.
