Job summary

United Charter High Schools in the Bronx seeks an Assistant Principal for Advanced Math & Science II to support the Principal in delivering rigorous instruction and equitable outcomes. The role emphasizes coaching, data-based decision making, and collaboration with teachers to implement the network's model across grades 9–12.

Successful candidates will hold a Master’s in Education or related field, NYS leadership certification, and at least seven years of high school experience, including

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, School Leadership or Education Administration/Management is required.
• New York State School Building Leader or School District Leader certification is required.
• Experience in an urban public school setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering the academic preparation and requisite support for all students to be prepared to succeed in college and career.
• Reinforce and institutionalize the implementation of network practices through regular observation, coaching, and evaluation.
• Foster connections between academic learning, the community, and the natural world.
• Will be responsible for teaching, co-teaching and model teaching in the classroom.
• Assist in creating a professional community that focuses on instruction and assessment as the primary vehicle for improving student achievement and school culture.
