Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required; Master’s degree preferred.
• New York State SWD Certification required.
• Experience planning lessons with clear objectives and assessing whether those objectives have been met.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with educational technology.
• Ability to collaborate with staff to support diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Develop content-based curriculum aligned to standards.
• Assess student growth using formal and informal data.
• Build students’ academic and socio-emotional skills.
• Advocate for appropriate student supports.
• Support post-high school transition planning.
• Collaborate with families and school-based teams.
• Assist with testing and scoring as needed.
