Job summary

BUILD Renewables in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to lead pursuit, pre-mobilization planning, and client relationship activities for nationwide renewable energy projects. You will manage pursuits, review drawings, lead estimating, coordinate with engineering partners, and guide procurement and risk mitigation to ensure on-time, on-budget EPC execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering related field.
• Five (3) years of experience in Project Management or Engineering of construction.
• Experience on utility-scale renewable energy projects, preferably Solar.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively at a managerial level, both written and verbal.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients, BUILD Renewables personnel, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Proficient in construction-related software programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction planning for renewable energy construction projects.
• Head the assigned estimating, engineering and procurement project team.
• Build relationships with vendors, engineering partners, customers and company departments.
• Communicate with customers during the preconstruction phase.
• Review drawings and specifications for issues, accuracy and risk.
• Lead estimating process and present to the customer.
• Ensure completeness of estimates and suggest margin improvements.
• Lead design meetings and manage engineering partners for IFC design.
