Job summary

T5 Data Centers is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to support the preconstruction department in planning, estimating, and scheduling for multiple projects. You will work with the team to analyze specifications, gather data, and prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets.

You will lead pricing efforts, coordinate with subcontractors, and help develop scopes of work for trades while driving value engineering opportunities across data center projects. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, engineering technology, or business preferred.
• 3+ years Commercial Construction Experience required.
• 1+ years Data Center experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Microsoft Project (or comparable scheduling software), Bluebeam, Procore and Bluebeam experience required.
• Ability to read project documentation including blueprints, CPM schedules, submittals, etc.
• Ability to perform onscreen takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to prepare accurate estimates and proposals.
• Develop scopes of work for each trade and review scopes with subcontractors.
• Review and price value engineering items and prepare final estimates/RFPs.
• Coordinate with internal and external team members to create complete estimate packages.
• Assist with subcontractor bid analysis and selection.
