Hoar Construction is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager to support preconstruction services across design stages, ensuring program, scope and quality align with schedules and budgets. Travel up to 10% may be required to coordinate with teams and clients.

You will assist in bid management, cost estimating, value engineering, and subcontractor coordination while maintaining clear communications with the project team and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1-4 years of experience in a Pre-construction/Estimating environment with large commercial or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of construction cost estimating, conceptual budgeting, and scheduling.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience with Sketchup, Revit, VICO, NavisWorks, On-Screen Take-Off and Suretrak.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsabilités

• Produce detailed quantity take-offs for conceptual estimates.
• Assist in managing the bid process and subcontractor participation.
• Assemble the estimate including general conditions, insurances and bonds.
• Analyze subcontractor pricing for completeness and adherence to requirements.
• Provide constructability and review comments to the design team.
• Support preconstruction services for clients and design teams at all design stages.
• Prepare team directory, meeting agendas and minutes; communicate updates to the project team.
• Track actions during preconstruction to facilitate design and management.
• Assist with subcontractor solicitation and bid coordination.
• Contribute to team sales presentations using Sketchup, BIM, etc.
