Job summary

SOLV Energy in Newbern, AL is seeking an EPC Assistant Project Manager to support on-site administration of utility-scale solar construction projects. The role reports to the Project Manager and requires travel.

Responsibilities include cost control, change orders, CMiC system setup, bid packages, and supervising project engineers. 3–4 years of construction experience and 1–2 years in scheduling/estimating are preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• Field experience (Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent).
• 1-2 years of utility scale construction experience preferred.
• 1+ years scheduling and estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Able to perform all Project Engineer job responsibilities.
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Estimate, prepare and negotiate Change Orders.
• Write subcontract Change Orders.
• Set up and maintain all aspects of the CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and solicit and evaluate bids.
• Write project procedures.
• Review plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare Purchase Orders and Rental Agreements.
• Supervise and train Project Engineers and clerical staff.
