Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support construction project administration on a full-time basis at a jobsite in Cleburne, TX, with travel.

You will assist the Project Manager, maintain cost control ledgers, prepare billings and change orders, set up the CMiC system, and oversee project engineers and clerical staff. Minimum requirements include an engineering/ construction management or architectural degree, 3–4 years of construction experience, 1+ year scheduling

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience.
• Thorough understanding of plans and specifications.
• Field experience (Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent).
• Effective written and verbal communications skills and organizational skills.
• 3-4 years construction experience.
• 1+ years scheduling and estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Project Engineer responsibilities.
• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Prepare billings and expedite payments.
• Estimate, prepare and negotiate Change Orders.
• Write subcontract Change Orders.
• Set up and maintain all aspects of the CMiC system.
• Prepare bid packages and solicit and evaluate bids.
• Write project procedures.
• Review plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare Purchase Orders and Rental Agreements.
• Supervise and train Project Engineers and clerical staff.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
