Job summary

Our client, a general contractor building ground-up multifamily communities in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support project teams from buyout through closeout. You will manage document control, subcontract administration and cost tracking, working with the superintendent to keep the job on schedule.

This role provides a direct path to a Project Manager for growth with a multifamily builder.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as an Assistant Project Manager or similar in commercial GC
• Experience on at least one ground-up multifamily project
• Knowledge of submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay apps
• Procore and MS Office proficiency; able to read drawings
• Strong organization and multitasking across trades

Responsibilities

• Assist PM on one or two active projects from buyout through closeout
• Own document control, subcontract administration and cost tracking
• Work with superintendent to keep the job on schedule
• Prepare subcontracts and purchase orders with scopes, SVs, and exhibits
• Track subcontract status, COIs and lien waivers
• Walk the site with the superintendent to monitor progress, quality and safety
• Coordinate turnover sequencing, inspections and city requirements
• Run punch lists and closeout documents (Warranties, O&M manuals)
