Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a heavy civil highway project in the Naples, Florida area. You will help manage cost, schedule, subcontracts and owner reporting on heavy civil highway work.

This onsite role requires 5+ years of construction management experience, a four-year degree in Construction Management or related engineering field, and the ability to coordinate field activities under pressure. Relocation to Naples area is welcome.

Qualifications

• 5+ years assisting or supervising increasingly complex construction work.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Construction Science, or an engineering/architecture degree with added business training.
• Able to coordinate multiple activities under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Full time onsite in Naples, FL; heavy civil highway experience a plus; FDOT project experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan cost, resources and schedule for the project.
• Administer subcontracts and manage subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate workers, materials and equipment with the field team.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and regulations for the team.
• Handle contracts, permits and licenses.
• Supervise assistant managers and engineers and review their reports.
• Correct safety issues on the job and back the safety program.
• Control the budget and hold the schedule.
• Report progress to owners, engineers and architects.
