Job summary

Airgas is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager in Riverton, NJ to partner with the Plant Manager and oversee daily operations, safety, quality, and efficiency. You will supervise gas filling operations and lead a small team to meet production targets, while driving continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on leadership in manufacturing or distribution, strong safety culture, and proficiency with essential tools.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong analytical skills to improve production efficiency.
• Excellent oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Guides and supports a team of two or more associates in plant activities.
• Coordinates with other Plant Supervisors for smooth operations.
• Promotes safety and compliance culture and addresses unsafe practices.
• Aligns tasks with customer needs and stock levels.
• Studies production schedules and estimates scheduling needs.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Plans capital investments with the Plant Manager.
• Manages inventory levels of supplies and equipment.
