Job summary

Owens-Illinois, Inc. in Pennsylvania seeks an Assistant Plant Electrical Engineer to assist the Plant Engineer in leading salaried and hourly staff, overseeing installation, and maintenance of plant systems and facilities.

The role requires an electrical background, maintenance leadership, and experience with maintenance management software; coordinate contractor work, inspect systems, review operations, and help reduce downtime.

Qualifications

Trade school or Bachelor degree in Engineering preferred; high school diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience required.
Industrial electrical experience required.
5 years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing facility; glass industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise all construction and service work by outside contractors.
Conduct periodic inspections of plant systems, equipment, facilities and grounds.
Review shift operations and implement actions affecting processing, procedures, personnel, equipment and customer requirements.
Track downtime and provide solutions to decrease downtime.
